In the heart of Boston’s Little Italy, Billy Tse remains one of the neighborhood’s most unexpected food spots. For more than 25 years, it’s been my quiet go‑to for shrimp tempura maki, tekka maki, Vietnamese chicken, miso soup, spicy string beans, and baby bok choy, dishes that have stayed consistently good. On Christmas Eve, when much of the city shuts down and options narrow to Chinatown’s late‑night standbys, Billy Tse is the rare North End restaurant still open. The décor hasn’t changed, but that’s never been the appeal. You come for simplicity, affordability, and an unpretentious meal in a neighborhood known for everything but pan‑Asian cuisine. A dependable classic that never tries to be anything other than what it is, and that’s exactly why my former North End neighbors and I keep returning.

This restaurant is absolutely THE BEST place to come to for Asian food. The atmosphere is so inviting and everyone working was so sweet and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious! Everything we ordered was top tier! Literally beyond a 10! My drink was sooooo yummyssssss too! I love the bartender! My family and I will definitely be back for more! & To everyone who has not tried this place yet, go run and try it today!

They have a lot of return customers. Their Yang Chow fried rice was excellent and lots of Umami flavor. The Pu Pu Platter for one could feed two. The alcohol was just right. Erin, the bartender was very friendly.
